ABOUT THE HOST
Bethanne Patrick is a writer, author, and critic whose work appears frequently in The Washington Post, where she is a columnist. She also writes for the LA Times, NPR Books, The Boston Globe, and many others. Patrick's memoir, 'Life B,' will be released by Counterpoint Press in 2022. She lives in Northern Virginia with her family and far too many books. She tweets @TheBookMaven and really wants to know what you're reading.

Sybil Sycamore is a lover of purple, trees, and unlearning. They are a student of their own somatic wisdom. Sybil will always be starting a new project, so feel free to ask them about it!
Malik Thompson is a Black queer man proud to be from DC. Malik writes poetry and essays, you can read his work at Voicemail Poems and Split This Rock.
