Jennifer De Leon is author of the YA novel Don’t Ask Me Where I’m From (Caitlyn Dlouhy Books/Simon & Schuster, 2020) and the essay collectionWhite Space: Essays on Culture, Race, & Writing (UMass Press, 2021), which is the recipient of the Juniper Prize. She is also the editor of the award-winning anthology Wise Latinas: Writers on Higher Education (University of Nebraska Press, 2014). An Assistant Professor of Creative Writing at Framingham State University and faculty member in the MFA in Creative Nonfiction program at Bay Path University, she has published prose in dozens of literary journals including Ploughshares, Iowa Review, Michigan Quarterly Review, and more. Margarita Gokun Silver is a freelance journalist, essayist, and novelist. Her articles and essays have been published in The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Guardian, BBC, NPR, and The Atlantic, among others. Her collection of essays I Named My Dog Pushkin (And Other Immigrant Tales) came out on July 29, 2021 with the Thread imprint of Hachette.
Kristen Paulson-Nguyen is completing her memoir, To Have and to Hoard: How I Found Treasure in My Husband’s Trash. Her work has appeared in The New York Times and Creative Nonfiction, among other publications, and her micro-essay “Neighbors” won an award from the first Boston in 100 Words contest in 2020. She is the Writing Life Editor at Hippocampus Magazine. Kristen has appeared on “The Gita Brown Show” and “Writing Class Radio” podcasts and was a speaker at HippoCamp 2021.
