Adrian Tchaikovsky is the author of the Arthur C. Clarke Award-winning novel Children of Time and its sequel Children of Ruin. Shards of Earth, out this month in the US, launches a new science fiction series.

Alastair Reynolds is the author of a number of science fiction novels, including Revelation Space and Chasm City. Inhibitor Phase, out in October in the US and this month in the UK, is a return to the Revelation Space universe.
