TALK: Langston Hughes in Turkestan

Zohra Saed will discuss Langston Hughes’ writings and photographs from his trip to Uzbekistan from 1932-1933 when he met with the Writers Unions of Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan. The talk will trace his friendships and moments of connection through poetry with Uzbek artists and poets.
