Stress School

By Rachel Strickland Creative

In this stress school workshop, you will learn what stress is from a science perspective, and how to use the tools you already have in your brain, body, and breath to manage current stress and create new patterns for the inevitable future stress.
This workshop is 1.5 hours(ish), it will not extend past 2 hours with some time for Q & A at the end.
There will be a presentation, with practice exercises built in to implement what you are learning. Curriculum includes learning how to manage your stress response through the practice of breathing techniques that tap into your nervous system, as well as practicing release of stress patterns from the body through vagal nerve stimulation.

Using science backed stress and anxiety interventions to help you learn to build a better relationship with your brain, body, and the daily stress you face so you can get out of survival mode and into living your best life.

Step one: Learn how your stress response and the mind-body connection work through mind-body education trainings

Step two: Build the toolkit to manage immediate stress and anxiety through the power of neuroplasticity using breathwork, vagal toning, somatic exercises, and subjective reflection tools to guide new patterns in your stress response.

Step three: Renew and Revise - integrate and revisit all of these steps to prevent future stress overflow

Who it is for:
  • High achieving people who experience overwhelm and guilt about not being able to do all the things all at once
  • Athletes trying to balance a life of high-performance and wearing all of the hats (so many hats!)
  • Human beings who experience burnout and overwhelm
