Narrative creates context and meaning. Since humankind’s earliest days, stories have been used to communicate knowledge, prescribe behavior, and form our understanding of the world to imagine our futures. The macro-narratives created by our many individual stories become a powerful organizing force to coordinate changes en masse. Stories and narratives are the code for humanity’s operating system. They determine how we design everything from the technology we invent, to the social systems we implement, to the norms in which we perform our identities, to perhaps the mutations of our very DNA and perceptions of reality. We are writing the next operating system for humanity with the stories we tell about our future. Therefore, the stories we tell about our future will write the manual for humanity's next operating system.

This Storytelling for Change workshop is designed to help participants better understand the field of impact storytelling and emergent best practices in narrative change strategy.

The Guild of Future Architects (GoFA), is a home, refuge, and resource for people who are collaboratively shaping a kind, just, and inclusive world. Launched in July 2019, the Guild drives the emerging field of future architecture, which builds entrepreneurial, and collective projects designed to animate more enlightened cultural, social, economic, and political systems. As a membership organization, GoFA provides future architects with education, connections, mentorship, and access to financial resources, so that they may pursue their bold visions to transform the world around them for the better.
