What the Winter Storm in Texas Tells Us About Rural Climate Justice
By Rural Assembly
A Livestream Conversation on Climate Justice for Rural Communities
In February, a historic winter storm — which brought record-breaking snowfall and extremely low temperatures — hit a huge swath of Texas and the southeastern U.S. Dozens of people died and millions lost electricity, heat, or water for days. On March 30, we'll have a conversation with journalists and other experts about the storm and what it revealed about public health, housing, energy, and economic and climate justice.
Presented by the Rural Assembly in partnership with Southerly and the Daily Yonder.
