Alastair Reynolds is the award-winning author of a number of science fiction novels, including including Revelation Space and Chasm City. His latest is the Revenger series: Revenger, Shadow Captain, and this year's Bone Silence. Reynolds was previously an astrophysicist for the European Space Agency before becoming a full-time writer.
Essa Hansen is the the debut science fiction author of the upcoming space opera Nophek Gloss, which will be out from Orbit on November 17. Hansen is also a sound designer for science fiction and fantasy films at Skywalker Sound, with credits in movies such as Doctor Strange, Thor: Ragnarok, and Avengers: Endgame.
