With the emergence of the “Underground” and avant-garde art scenes, the influence of drugs and world music were becoming increasingly evident in the band’s sound. Join renowned Beatles historian and author Kenneth Womack and producer, composer and Deconstructing the Beatles series creator Scott Freiman for the sixth installment in our series of Fab Four Master Classes, Revolver. This session will study the evolving complexity in the band’s music and lyrics, the development of George Harrison’s songwriting and the influence of Eastern philosophy on it, and the writing and recording of the Revolver album and the “Paperback Writer”/”Rain” single.
Sign up here for Revolver, taking place Thursday, November 19, 2020 at 8 pm ET.
Over the next year this series of Master Classes will cover the Beatles' entire career. Each presentation will run 75-90 minutes, followed by Q&A.
The Fab Four Master Class is brought to you by your friends at CultureSonar and Wonderwall Communications.
