🎤Ask Us Anything #4: Return to school - Greenshaw Learning Trust School Improvement Community

By We Are In Beta

As a school leader and teacher, how are you making decisions in the midst of uncertainty, minimal guidance and shifting sands of what might come next?
There are no magic bullets or easy answers, but these are challenges being faced by all schools. By coming together to share, understand and collaborate we can look for green shoots and identify opportunities to learn from and support each other.
Join us to share your challenges and learn from fellow school leaders.
Hosted Joe Ambrose, School Improvement Leader, joined by an expert panel of:
  • Jonathan Heap - Headteacher at Gloucester Academy
  • Gerry Smyrk - Associate Headteacher at Orchard Park High School
Questions submitted to the panel so far:
  1. How will you address Summer Grading for Year 11s?
  2. How are you addressing catch up in the curriculum?
  3. What are you doing about pupils who have grown out of their uniform?
  4. What aspects of lockdown practice are you going to keep?
  5. How are you approaching recruitment? Are you doing anything differently?
  6. Are you focusing the catch up mainly premium on academic interventions or also looking at enrichment catch-up?
  7. How might you use a ‘blended approach’ to lessons and homework from September?

This event is part of the Greenshaw Learning Trust School Improvement Community. We have opened for all to attend - members and non-members - given the challenges faced across all schools and the need for strong collaboration, shared ideas and mutual support.
