Renee Gladman Symposium

By Porter Square Books

Join Porter Square Books: Boston Edition for a celebration and exploration of the work of Renee Gladman. The Renee Gladman Symposium will take place on Thursday, September 5 from 6PM–9PM, at Porter Square Books: Boston Edition (50 Liberty Drive, Boston, MA 02210) will feature presentations of essays on Gladman’s work, a Q&A with presenters, and a reception following the event to continue the conversation.
The presentations and Q&A will be livestreamed via Crowdcast. Renee Gladman is arguably one of the most important and innovative voices in American literature, constantly investigating the very mechanics of literature, narrative, and even meaning. In September, Dorothy: A Publishing Project will be releasing two works by Gladman, a reissue of To After That and her newest work, My Lesbian Novel. If you’re not a fan of Gladman yet, maybe this will be motivation to pick up one of her earlier works like Event Factory or Calamaties. Or feel free to just show up and see what all the fuss is about. Maybe you’ll discover your new favorite author.
