Join us for a practical panel discussion designed specifically for plumbing and heating installers, exploring what Mandatory Technical Competence (MTC) means for the industry and most importantly, what it could mean for you and your business.

Our expert panel will look at what "competence" really means, including the difference between holding a qualification and being able to demonstrate the knowledge, skills and experience needed to carry out work safely and effectively.

We’ll also explore how competence could be assessed and demonstrated in practice, including the role of qualifications, experience, assessment, on-site evidence and ongoing professional development.

Why the MTC Framework is being introduced and what "competence" means in practical terms.

How qualifications, knowledge, skills and experience may contribute to demonstrating competence.

How competence could be assessed and verified, including the evidence installers and businesses may need to provide.

What MTC could mean for experienced installers, businesses and contractors using subcontractors.

How maintaining competence and keeping skills up to date could become increasingly important as technologies and industry requirements evolve.

What installers and businesses can do now to prepare and ensure MTC supports genuine competence rather than becoming another tick-box exercise.

Whether you’re an experienced installer, running a plumbing and heating business, or looking to understand how competence requirements may affect your work, this webinar will provide practical insight into the developing MTC approach and what it could mean for the future of the industry.
