ULM Public Defense Training Academy (PDTA) in collaboration with the Louisiana Public Defenders Board (LPDB) offers comprehensive training on justice system subjects to defenders, investigators, social workers, and students statewide.
The PDTA encourages all individuals, including students, faculty, and staff with interests in criminal defense, social work, or investigation to join these sessions. These courses are taught by ULM's Criminal Justice Program Coordinator, Dr. Robert Hanser, and  often feature esteemed experts like Andrew Garrett, CEO and Digital Forensic Expert of the nation's leading criminal defense witness firm.
Dr. Hanser noted, "This program is designed to equip individuals investigating criminal case details with essential techniques to gather pertinent facts and data."
