Made by Hand featuring Eunice James
By Little Barn Industries
Creative vision. Perseverance. Inspiration. What does it really take to make something truly unique? Join us for Made By Hand, our LIVE interview series featuring your favorite makers and artists from the sewing world and beyond who share their incredible stories of how they made that.
We’re so excited to have Eunice James as our guest this month!
Way back in the spring of 2010, Nate and I were living in San Francisco and planning our wedding to be held in Golden Gate Park. Being the DIYer types, of course everything had to be handmade: from the table signs and wedding topper to the 1000 hand-folded gold cranes traditionally hung for good luck.
To complete our handmade wedding, we really wanted illustrated letterpress cards to invite our family and friends. Our favorite were made by a local company Hello!Lucky so we were over the moon when we found out they made custom wedding invitations!

Fast forward a decade later, and guess who's getting a custom Beatrice? None other than Eunice James, founder of Hello!Lucky. Wow, how cool is that? What a small world it truly is.
In some ways, it makes a lot of sense. When it comes to creativity, there are always connections and exchanges, between people and across artistic domains. We love the sense of play and joy she brings to all her creations - that's exactly what we're trying to do here! We're so glad to have Eunice on the show to share how she does it.
🌟
Eunice is the co-founder (with her sister Sabrina) and creative director behind Hello!Lucky, a woman-owned and operated design studio based in San Francisco, CA. Hello!Lucky makes fun, pun-loving stuff for the young and young-at-heart including greeting cards, best-selling children's books, and home and gift products. In her spare time, Eunice is also an obsessive crafter, sewer, and costume maker. You can follow her work on IG @helloluckycards and @helloluckykids.
We're thrilled to invite you all to get to know her better! See you there!
