Nature-based investing

By Mindful Money

Natural systems are at the foundation of the life support systems for our planet. As has been said, the economy is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the environment. Yet the lack of value given to the environment in our economic system, and the lack of boundaries for economic impacts has led to the crises that threaten our future, including the climate crisis and the current extinction of biological diversity.
Natural capital needs to become integral to the workings of the economy and the financial system. In response, the Task Force on Nature Related Financial Disclosure has been established to set standards on disclosure of the risks, opportunities and impacts of nature.
This seminar will look at the role of nature in the financial system and the proposals for disclosure, economic valuation and regeneration.
Join us for a panel discussion with:
  • Gael Ogilvie, Director of Tread Lightly Advisory and Nature’s Grace Aotearoa
  • Guy Williams, Director in Biodiversity and Natural Capital at Deloitte Risk Advisory
  • Dr Simon Zadek, Chair of Finance for Biodiversity, Senior Advisor to the Task Force on Nature Related Financial Disclosure
