Please join us this September 27th for Edgar Award-winning author Attica Locke in conversation with audiobook narrator and actor JD Jackson about the forthcoming mystery Guide Me Home: A Highway 59 novel, moderated by Michele Cobb of Audiofile Magazine.
Attica Locke is a NY Times best-selling author of five novels, including Bluebird, Bluebird, which won the Edgar Award for Best Novel. She is also a winner of the Harper Lee Prize for Legal Fiction, the Ernest Gaines Award for Literary Excellence, and she has been short listed for the Women’s Prize for Fiction and nominated for an LA Times Book Prize and an NAACP Image award for her work as a novelist. Locke is also a screenwriter and TV producer, with credits that include Empire, When They See Us and the Emmy-nominated Little Fires Everywhere, for which she won an NAACP Image award for television writing. She co-created and executive produced an adaptation of her sister Tembi Locke’s memoir From Scratch: A Memoir of Love, Sicily, and Finding Home for Netflix. A native of Houston, Texas, Attica lives in Los Angeles, California.

JD Jackson is an Audiobook Narrator, Actor, and Acting Instructor.  He has narrated over 400 Audiobooks titles.  He received his MFA from Temple University, a BA from Dillard University, and prides himself on his ability to teach Beginning Acting to anyone of any age.  Considered a versatile narrator, he’s narrated Pulitzer Prize winning works for Fiction and Poetry.  He has won multiple Audie Awards.  He was inducted into Audiofile Magazine’s Golden Voices Hall of Fame. In 2020, he was named Booklist Magazine’s Voice of Choice. And he was recently awarded Go On Girl National Book Club’s Inaugural Best Narration of the Year Award.

Michele Cobb is the Publisher of AudioFile Magazine and a partner at Forte Business Consulting, which provides Business Development and Association Management services for the publishing industry.
