Ms. Rachel—the fastest-growing phenomenon in children’s educational entertainment—brings her signature teaching style to a virtual storytime reading of her first book, MS. RACHEL AND THE SPECIAL SURPRISE!
Ms. Rachel is looking for something very special and she needs help finding it!
Follow Ms. Rachel as she guides your little one on an engaging, fun, and playful adventure interwoven with brain and language development exercises. Fans of Ms. Rachel will recognize their favorite characters and songs from her YouTube channel throughout the story. And, as always, she will make sure they know just how special they are!
For this special event, Ms. Rachel is partnering with three indie bookstores across the United States:

EVENT INFORMATION
When is the virtual storytime?
Ms. Rachel’s virtual storytime will take place on Saturday, October 5 at 10:00 am ET. If you cannot attend, you can rewatch the stream until Saturday, October 12 at 11:00 am ET.
How much is a ticket to the storytime?
The streaming ticket is $35, which includes access to the virtual storytime, ability to rewatch for up to seven (7) days, and a copy of MS. RACHEL AND THE SPECIAL SURPRISE (a $19.99 value) shipped to your home.
Do I need to purchase a ticket to attend?
Yes, each family needs a ticket to attend the virtual storytime. Please register here to secure your spot and receive a copy of MS. RACHEL AND THE SPECIAL SURPRISE mailed directly to you.
Will Ms. Rachel be taking questions?
Yes! You and your child can submit a video question in advance via this form.

Due to the nature of the event, refunds are not available.
How long will this event be?
The virtual storytime will be around 30 minutes.

We’re thrilled to support three special indie bookstores with this event!
Anderson’s Bookshop in Naperville, Illinois, is a charming independent bookstore known for its cozy atmosphere, extensive selection of books, and vibrant community events.
Red Balloon Bookshop in St. Paul, Minnesota, is a cherished local gem that captivates young readers with its carefully curated children's books, lively community events, and an inviting, whimsical atmosphere.
The Reading Bug in San Carlos, California, is a beautiful independent bookstore that offers a curated selection of children's books, engaging events, and a welcoming space for young readers and their families.
What if I am not based in the US?
Unfortunately this event is limited to guests in the United States. Stay tuned for future events!
Can I register after the event takes place and watch the storytime?
Yes it is possible to register after the event takes place. You can register and access the story time stream until October 12th.
When should I expect to receive my copy of MS. RACHEL AND THE SPECIAL SURPRISE?
All customers will receive their copy of MS. RACHEL AND THE SPECIAL SURPRISE the week of October 14th. If you have any questions or issues with delivery, please email [email protected].
I already pre-ordered a copy of MS. RACHEL AND THE SPECIAL SURPRISE. Can I purchase just a streaming ticket?
All streaming tickets to Ms. Rachel’s Virtual Storytime includes a copy of the book, which supports three wonderful indie bookstores. Streaming-only tickets are not available.

What is the recommended browser to watch the virtual storytime on?
Crowdcast recommends the following compatible browsers, Chromium-based browser like Chrome, Opera, or Edge, or the Crowdcast app if you’re on a mobile iOS device.
What should I do if I have technical issues?
If you encounter any technical issues, please try refreshing your browser or checking your internet connection. Please note: the email address used to purchase your ticket will be the email you need to use to login to Crowdcast. For more information on troubleshooting, please visit Crowdcast’s PAGE.
Can I stream the virtual storytime to my TV?
You can mirror your device screen to the TV using Chromecast or Apple TV.
For Chromecast users, download Google Home from the Play/Apple store and follow these Google instructions to mirror your screen. You can watch from the crowdcast app on an iPhone or iPad or from the browser on an Android device.
If you have an Apple TV, you can use Airplay to cast your screen and watch a crowdcast. Here's Apple's guide to casting through Airplay.
PROGRAMMING QUESTIONS
Can I start streaming the event before the start time?
Starting 30 minutes prior to the event, there will be a waiting room on Crowdcast.
How can I join Ms. Rachel’s Virtual Storytime?
You can purchase a streaming ticket here. Upon purchasing your ticket, you will receive a unique link for the virtual storytime. You will receive a reminder to tune in on Saturday, October 5 for the storytime 10 minutes prior to the event. Please note: the email address used to purchase your ticket will be the email you need to use to login to Crowdcast.
Do I need to have a Crowdcast login to watch this event?
Yes, you need a free Crowdcast attendee account to view events on Crowdcast. You can create an account by registering for an event and providing your name and email, or by using a social sign-on option like Twitter, Facebook, or Google.
How do I join the virtual storytime on October 5?
- Click the link you received in your confirmation email beginning as early as 9:30 am ET.
- You will be placed into the waiting room until the event begins at 10:00 am ET.
- Stream the virtual storytime on one of the recommended compatible browsers: Chrome, Opera, or Edge, or the Crowdcast app if you’re on a mobile iOS device.

No, your link is unique to you and will only allow for viewing on one device.
