Free Event: Cultivating Resilience & Joy: Mindfulness, ACT & Self-Compassion Strategies (For Thriving BCBAs!)
This 1-hour Continuing Education (CE)session is designed as a mini-retreat to support Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) in enhancing their well-being, resilience, and effectiveness in their practice. Through a blend of experiential exercises and evidence-based strategies, participants will explore how Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness, and self-compassion can help navigate stress, prevent burnout, and strengthen their ability to provide compassionate, values-driven care.
Attendees will leave with practical tools to cultivate presence, maintain psychological flexibility, and sustain joy in their work with clients, teams, and caregivers. Additionally, these strategies can be applied to support clients and caregivers in developing their own resilience, emotional regulation, and commitment to meaningful action
- Define Self-Compassion and describe how it relates to our BACB Ethical Guidelines. Practice one experiential exercise.
- Practice and apply at least 1 strategy to integrate ACT and Mindfulness principles into BCBA practices.
- Define Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and label the 6 core processes.
- Identify the steps of the ACT Matrix and describe how it can be used for self and others.
Participants will have the opportunity to receive a CEU for attending this event and completing a CEU form with a values-based payment.
