On June 9, 2021 @ 12 pm ET, join Outlander Labs and Dan Offner, Founder and Managing Partner of O&A and the StartupProgram.com, for our quarterly Legal Lab series, followed by our first of our monthly Legal Lab Office Hours.

Dan will discuss the key aspects of venture law and financing that all entrepreneurs and early-stage founders need to know to ensure their companies are formed correctly. And such that all components of their start-up corporation - employee stock option pools, intellectual property ownership, founder ownership allocation and potential tax implications, advisor and other partnership agreements, early investor funding - are initiated and managed properly to support smooth institutional financings from pre-Seed thru Series A rounds.
Dan will also draw on his more than 27 years of experience as both an angel investor and practicing venture law attorney, including his role as general counsel of Oculus VR where Dan, arriving prior to their Series A, completely revamped Oculus VR’s legal structure to facilitate successful Series A and B funding rounds totaling $91m, and their acquisition by Facebook for more than $2b in 2014.
Dan will also walk through his motivation for creating the StartupProgram.com service, a unique platform that provides start-up teams a fast, easy, and affordable solution for everything from company formation to financing and how StartupProgram.com is distinguished from other legal services in the venture legal market. He will also speak about why he set up StartupProgram Academy a unique online education program for entrepreneurs to learn the basics of venture law and finance without expensive fees.
