During this webinar, Christina Whetsel will be providing an introduction to American Sign Language with the goal of helping to make veterinary medicine more accessible.
Join us to learn about deaf culture, practice some common signs, and let's make vet med more accessible together!
About the Speaker, Christina Whetsel An Ohio native, Christina has always wanted to become a veterinarian since she was 5 years old. She moved to Rochester, NY to attend Rochester Institute of Technology and graduated with a Bachelor's in Biology with pre-veterinary focus in 2017. Before moving to Colorado this summer and working as a veterinary technician, she has been working with small, large and exotic animals in Rochester, New York. Christina is deaf herself and is also fluent in American Sign Language (ASL). Christina always had animals growing up, but now has two dogs, a boxer mix Roo and silver lab Jazz and also one white DSH cat. In her free time, she likes going on hikes with her dogs, traveling and taking naps! ;)
