Leading on curriculum or Quality of Education as a member of SLT can also bring similar issues, especially with the daunting task of driving curricular improvement across subjects in which you are not a specialist. Subject, curricular and assessment knowledge gaps may create barriers to building effective and supportive line manager relationships.
