When most people hear the word “tech,” they think it stops at electronic devices. But that couldn't be further from the truth —  tech has always been more about people than machines.

So when it comes to the involvement of people in the industry, why is it an uphill battle for inclusion in the field?

Frankly, when you look at the data, it can make you want to scream into a pillow (and without a pillow at times because the world needs to hear it!) for anyone who falls outside of the criteria of “tech bro.”

But the data NEVER tells you the whole story.

With tech skills & jobs being more accessible than ever, there are so many women, gender non-conforming, and people of color who have figured out the steps needed to thrive within the industry.
