Harm Reduction Works: Compassion In Action
By People's Action
Bottom line: #HarmReductionWorks! In our overdose crisis, saving lives is all that matters.
We save lives when we increase access to compassionate treatments and enact policies grounded in the best, most evidence-based and proven solutions in public health: Harm Reduction.
Join activists from across the country from People's Action's Overdose Crisis Cohort and CPD Action's Opioid Network as we dig in to what Harm Reduction means with Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA), Rep. Paul Tonko (D, NY-20), Rep. Carolyn Maloney (D, NY-12) and special guests, and find out what we can do to make a difference.
We will talk about important legislation currently before Congress, including the MAT Act and CARE Act, and other public health initiatives currently underway. Join us!
A big thank you to all of the organizations who are participating in this event: AIDS United, Center for Coalfield Justice, Coalition for Syringe Access, Drug Policy Alliance, Faith in Harm Reduction, Florida Harm Reduction Collective, Hoosier Action, Legal Action Center, Maine People's Alliance, National Harm Reduction Coalition, Nelsonville Voices, New Jersey Organizing Project, Progressive Maryland, Real Progressives, Rights & Democracy, River Valley Organizing / Unharming Ohio, Smokey Mountain Harm Reduction, SpacesinAction, Truth Pharm Inc., and VOCAL-NY.
