Join us for a fascinating discussion between Bradley Steyn, co-author of Undercover with Mandela’s Spies: the story of the boy who crossed the square and Janet Smith, co-author of Hani: A life too short, journalist, editor, writer.

Bradley has intersected with the white right on a few significant occasions. Some 33 years ago Bradley crossed Strydom Square in Pretoria, into the centre of a massacre. Barend Strydom, the ‘Wit Wolf’ was horrifyingly busy, randomly killing seven black people and injuring scores of other passersby. A number of years later, Bradley was recruited by the MK and used to infiltrate the crazed white right, passing on crucial information to his MK handlers.

Currently he lives in Los Angles, where, while marching in solidarity with Black Lives Matter, he was shot with a rubber bullet, which required hospitalisation.
