Happy (Half) Hour Romance Edition
By Macmillan Publishers
Love is in the air with this special Happy (Half) Hour featuring all things romance as we chat with authors Meryl Wilsner, Jodie Slaughter, Donna Hill, and Livy Hart!
MERYL WILSNER (CLEAT CUTE) writes happily ever afters for queer folks who love women. They are the author of SOMETHING TO TALK ABOUT and MISTAKES WERE MADE. Born in Michigan, Meryl lived in Portland, Oregon and Jackson, Mississippi before returning to the Mitten State. Some of Meryl's favorite things include: all four seasons, button down shirts, the way giraffes run, and their wife.
JODIE SLAUGHTER (PLAY TO WIN) is the author of BET ON IT. She is a twenty-something romance author who spends most of her days hunched over a laptop making fictional characters kiss. She loves love, so she writes romance novels full of heart, passion, and heat. When she isn’t putting steamy scenes or declarations of devotion on the page she can normally be found being generally hilarious on twitter, dreaming about brisket, or consuming way too much television. She lives in Kentucky.
DONNA HILL (I AM AYAH--THE WAY HOME) has published more than seventy books spanning a long career. She is an Essence bestselling author and recipient of multiple awards, such as: The RT Career Achievement Award, the Gold Pen Award, The Trailblazer Award, and the Zora Neale Hurston Literary Award. She is currently in a PhD program but received her MFAW in Creative Writing from Goddard College. She is a proud single mother and grandmother who gives back to the community and is known as a pioneer of black romance novels.
LIVY HART (PLANES, TRAINS, AND ALL THE FEELS) has two children, too many Funko Pops, and a husband who’s workin’ on the railroad—literally. She currently resides in Dallas, Texas where she enjoys long walks on the concrete and people-watching at malls so big they have their own zip codes. When she’s not writing, she’s bickering with her KitchenAid stand mixer, road-tripping to her sleepy Florida hometown, or sipping espresso on her Nonna’s porch.
