"Hacking SOC Automation" - Super Cyber Friday

By CISO Series

Please join us on Friday July 19, 2024 for Super Cyber Friday.

Our topic of discussion will be "Hacking SOC Automation: An hour of critical thinking about how the line of what we can automate is changing."

Joining David Spark (@dspark), producer of CISO Series for this discussion will be:
  • Edward Wu, CEO and founder, Dropzone AI
  • Caleb Sima, builder, White Rabbit
In preparation for our discussion, think about the following:
  • How has automation traditionally worked in the SOC? What are the limitations of those methods?
  • What can we automate now that we couldn’t a few years ago?
  • Is the idea of an autonomous SOC feasible? To what extent?
  • Is or will automation take away jobs, either in the SOC or elsewhere in cybersecurity?
  • What is capable now with automation that wasn't previously technically possible?
  • What are the hard limits of current automation? Does Gen AI change those limits?
  • Will automation ever expand into remediation?
  • How can automation help lift up the cybersecurity poverty line?
  • How does organization size change the benefits and challenges of automation?
It all starts at 1 PM Eastern/10 AM Pacific. At the end of the hour [2 PM Eastern/11 AM Pacific] we'll switch gears to our meetup where everyone will get a chance to chat face to face.

HUGE thanks to our sponsor, Dropzone AI
