"Hacking Security Effectiveness" - Super Cyber Friday

By CISO Series

Please join us on Friday February 7, 2025 for Super Cyber Friday.

Our topic of discussion will be “Hacking Security Effectiveness: An hour of critical thinking about how to holistically make sure your tools are working for you.”

Joining David Spark (@dspark), producer of CISO Series for this discussion will be:
  • Emanuel Salmona, co-founder and CEO, Nagomi Security
  • Bethany De Lude, CISO Emeritus
In preparation for our discussion, think about the following:
  • How have we historically evaluated security effectiveness? Where does this fall short?
  • Even if you’ve selected the right tools, how do you know they are working in coordination with the rest of the cybersecurity stack?
  • Why has security effectiveness been such a manual process to date? Where are the bottlenecks?
  • Where do metrics and reports across tools fall short in measuring holistic security effectiveness?
  • Can we ever answer the question of “Are we protected” quantitatively?
  • What can we learn from surveys and point-in-time effectiveness assessments?
  • How can you show the business cybersecurity is moving the needle on resilience?
  • How do you identify gaps between tools? And how do you determine which gaps you need to fill?
It all starts at 1 PM Eastern/10 AM Pacific. At the end of the hour [2 PM Eastern/11 AM Pacific] we'll switch gears to our meetup where everyone will get a chance to chat face to face.
HUGE thanks to our sponsor Nagomi Security
