"Hacking Security Effectiveness" - Super Cyber Friday

Our topic of discussion will be “Hacking Security Effectiveness: An hour of critical thinking about how to holistically make sure your tools are working for you.”

In preparation for our discussion, think about the following:
- How have we historically evaluated security effectiveness? Where does this fall short?
- Even if you’ve selected the right tools, how do you know they are working in coordination with the rest of the cybersecurity stack?
- Why has security effectiveness been such a manual process to date? Where are the bottlenecks?
- Where do metrics and reports across tools fall short in measuring holistic security effectiveness?
- Can we ever answer the question of “Are we protected” quantitatively?
- What can we learn from surveys and point-in-time effectiveness assessments?
- How can you show the business cybersecurity is moving the needle on resilience?
- How do you identify gaps between tools? And how do you determine which gaps you need to fill?
