"Hacking Platformization" - Super Cyber Friday
By CISO Series
Please join us on Friday January 24, 2025 for Super Cyber Friday.
Our topic of discussion will be “Hacking Platformization: An hour of critical thinking of how stitching together data, tools, and processes is necessary for the success of your security program.”
Joining David Spark (@dspark), producer of CISO Series for this discussion will be:
- Elad Koren, vice president, product management, Palo Alto Networks
- Yabing Wang, vp, CISO and CIO, Justworks
In preparation for our discussion, think about the following:
- What do we mean when we say platformization? How is it more than a marketing bundle?
- Why is platform versus best-in-breed a false dichotomy?
- Where do we see the biggest advantages in cybersecurity with platformization
- Why is the industry moving toward platformization now? Are there particular challenges or trends driving this shift?
- What specific operational efficiencies can organizations expect from adopting a cybersecurity platform compared to managing standalone tools?
- What are the hurdles organizations face when transitioning to a platformized approach? How do you get organizational buy-in
- Does relying on a single platform increase the risk of vendor lock-in, and how can organizations mitigate that?
- How does a platformization approach integrate with third-party tools and legacy systems?
- How can you measure the ROI or success of adopting a platformized cybersecurity approach?
It all starts at 1 PM Eastern/10 AM Pacific. At the end of the hour [2 PM Eastern/11 AM Pacific] we'll switch gears to our meetup where everyone will get a chance to chat face to face.
HUGE thanks to our sponsor, Palo Alto Networks
