"Hacking MFA" - Super Cyber Friday
By CISO Series
Please join us on Friday November 8, 2024 for Super Cyber Friday.
Our topic of discussion will be “Hacking MFA: An hour of critical thinking about how threat actors circumvent this mainstay of authentication.”
Joining David Spark (@dspark), producer of CISO Series for this discussion will be:
- Jason Haddix, field CISO, Flare
- Arvin Bansal, CISO, C&S Wholesale Grocers
In preparation for our discussion, think about the following:
- What are some common methods that attackers use to bypass MFA?
- How big of a vector are infostealers for gaining access to company accounts?
- What does the ecosystem for infostealers look like? Are many organizations aware of how extensive this is?
- What steps can companies take to prevent MFA bypasses and reduce the risk of session token theft or replay attacks?
- How should CISOs respond when they discover that their company’s session tokens have been compromised? Are there any emerging trends with MFA bypasses that CISOs need to be on the lookout for?
- What MFA bypasses can be prevented from process or technology changes? Are there any risks with MFA that will always be there?
It all starts at 1 PM Eastern/10 AM Pacific. At the end of the hour [2 PM Eastern/11 AM Pacific] we'll switch gears to our meetup where everyone will get a chance to chat face to face.
HUGE thanks to our sponsor Flare
