As the days grow shorter and the nights get colder, our thoughts turn to the fast-approaching winter holidays! This fall, three of our favorite new holiday picture books are Red and Green and Blue and White, written by LEE WIND and illustrated by Caldecott winner PAUL O. ZELINSKY, Grand Jeté and Me, written by former New York City Ballet prima ballerina ALLEGRA KENT and illustrated by New York Times bestselling author/illustrator ROBIN PREISS GLASSER, and Charlotte and the Nutcracker, written by CHARLOTTE NEBRES — the first Black dancer to be cast as Marie, the young heroine of “George Balanchine’s The Nutcracker, ”in New York City Ballet’s show — and illustrated by ALEA MARLEY.
