Group Purchasing Organizations or “GPOs” are not new to the Veterinary Industry. However, many practice owners, managers, and inventory managers are unaware of the diverse benefits a GPO can offer their practice.  This webinar is designed to give listeners a better understanding of how to find a Group Purchasing Organization that fits the needs of their independently owned practice, what questions to ask when looking for the “right” GPO, and how to leverage your GPO membership to take full advantage of discounts, resources, and other unique benefits.

About the Speaker:

Megan Sturgill is the Director of Member Resources with VerticalVet, a nationwide Group Resource Community for Veterinary Professionals.  A Northern California native, she has also had the opportunity to work in a variety of veterinary hospitals and settings across the country before calling the Carolinas home in 2011.  As a former Practice Manager, Licensed Veterinary Technician and Limestone University graduate, she has two decades of experience working in and managing both small and large animal practices.  In addition to her work in the United States, Megan has had the privilege of spending time in Haiti working as a veterinary technician alongside other veterinary professionals from around the world.  Megan left practice medicine in 2019 to join the VerticalVet team and fulfill a career long dream of changing the status quo of what it means to be a professional in the Vet Med space. In her words, “No longer can we sit back and think burnout, compassion fatigue, staff turnover, and a nonexistent work life balance is normal for those who have given their hearts and lives to veterinary medicine.”  When not working, Megan enjoys spending time with her partner, exploring areas of the Carolinas, hiking, skiing, riding horses or simply hanging out with her family and “farm” full of animals.
