We all want young athletes to step onto the field feeling confident, trusting themselves and ready to play.

A mistake. A missed chance. A big game. A tough opponent. Nerves. Worrying about letting the team down or what other people might think.

Suddenly, instead of playing freely, a young athlete can start hesitating, overthinking or becoming afraid to make a mistake.

So how do we help young athletes build confidence that doesn’t disappear when things get difficult?

And how can they learn to play brave – even when they feel nervous, under pressure or things aren’t going their way?

Join Anna Veale from Fresh Coaching & Untapped for this FREE FYA LIVE session exploring confidence, pressure and the mental side of performance.

Anna will share practical strategies around:

What confidence really is – and how it can be developed.

How to play freely rather than being held back by fear of making mistakes.

What to do when nerves, pressure or self-doubt start to take over.

How to respond when confidence takes a knock.

How to manage overthinking and refocus on what you can control.

How parents can support confidence without unintentionally adding pressure.

Following Anna’s development session, we’ll open things up for live Q&A, giving young athletes, parents and coaches the opportunity to ask Anna their own questions.

Whether you’re a young athlete, parent or coach, this session is designed to provide practical tools to help young athletes build confidence, handle pressure and perform more freely.
