Supervision BCBA CEU! What is your clinical lens? Are your supervisees leaving your supervision with a lens to look through?
By The Happy Medium Approach
As our profession expands, we have more and more new BCBAs entering the field with imposter syndrome, burnout, and paralysis of how to get started on their own in the treatment context. Is it possible that we are so laser-focused on teaching to the task list and the White Bible so supervises can pass the test that we miss the critical piece of a treatment lens that creates increasing focus, clarity, and confidence as our supervisees gain experience?
Join Katy and Rosalie as they talk through the journey of creating a treatment lens for themselves and their supervisees. They have spoken before about creating contextually flexible clinicians, but what about that critical treatment lens that supports focus, clarity, and confidence?
How do you define yourself as a clinician?
What is your lens?
What tools do you call on to support your lens?
How do you use your lens to individualize treatment for the person in front of you?
How do you support supervisees in the development of that lens?
What if a supervisees lens is different than yours?
How can the development of the clinical lens impact your supervisee's success when they enter the world with the well-deserved B.C.B.A. letters behind their name?
