Fred Miller's Lecture in Song: The Great Lady Songwriters
By Princeton Public Library
Library favorite Fred Miller presents a Mother's Day lecture-in-song that pays tribute to female composers and lyricists who played a significant part in Tin Pan Alley's colorful history.
Eight distinguished women are profiled representing a broad range of eras and styles, beginning with Edwardian sentimentalist Beth Slater Whitson and ending with ultra-cool singing/songwriting legend, Peggy Lee.
Pour a cup of tea, fix a plate of cookies and enjoy an afternoon treat while listening.
