Focus on Fiction Panel featuring Tall Poppy Writers

Three authors who are part of the Tall Poppy Writers group converse with each other about their most recent books, life, publishing and more at this panel event featuring Amy Impellizzeri, Sadeqa Johnson and Kelly Simmons. Make a cup of tea and join us for a fun evening talking about books and more.
Panelist Bios:
Amy Impellizzeriis a reformed corporate litigator, former start-up executive, and award-winning author of fiction and non-fiction. Amy’s latest novel, I KNOW HOW THIS ENDS, is a time-bending follow up to her bestselling debut, LEMONGRASS HOPE. Amy is a Tall Poppy Writer, a past President of the Women’s Fiction Writer’s Association, a 2018 Writer-In-Residence at Ms-JD.org, recipient of Ms. JD’s Road Less Traveled Award, faculty member in Drexel University’s MFA in Creative Writing Program, and a frequently invited speaker at legal conferences and writing workshops across the country. Sadeqa Johnson is the award-winning author of four novels. Her accolades include the National Book Club Award, the Phillis Wheatley Book Award, and the USA Best Book Award for Best Fiction. She is a Kimbilio Fellow, former board member of the James River Writers, and a Tall Poppy Writer. Kelly Simmons is a former journalist, advertising creative director and the author of six novels sold in a dozen countries: STANDING STILL and THE BIRD HOUSE (Simon & Schuster) ONE MORE DAY, THE FIFTH OF JULY, WHERE SHE WENT, and NOT MY BOY (Sourcebooks). She teaches in the Drexel University MFA program, and is a member of WFWA, Tall Poppy Writers and The Liars Club, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping fledgling novelists.
