Building a real-world blockchain dApp on EOS - Tray Lewin

A decentralized application (dApp) is an application (mobile or web) that has a blockchain backend. You can use many of the same tools to build a dApp that you would use to build a traditional application. But there are some important things to consider when building on blockchain technology.

Join this session for an informal review of what it takes to build a real-world application with an EOS backend. We’ll use a boilerplate application created by the EOS Costa Rica team We’ll review the major architectural components and important things to keep in mind when building a real-world dApp. This is a technical session meant for developers but everyone is welcome.

The session is an hour in two parts:
Overview
30 mins - Review of boilerplate application and components including (ReactJS, GraphQL, EOS Node interop (Demux), and wallet integration)
Deep Dive and Questions
15 mins - EOS and blockchain considerations (Scaling, Security, and Usability)
5 mins - Easy user sign-up and wallet creation (ORE-ID)
10 mins - Questions and discussion

Presented by: Tray Lewin, CTO of Aikon.com (building on the EOS blockchain)
