Early Voices, Own Voices, Changing Voices: Canadian Children's Books 1968-1990
By TPL Programs
Around the time of Canada's centennial celebrations, a new generation of independent publishers started to share their vision of Canada with young readers, and new voices began to find their way into print.
Jeffrey Canton, storyteller, academic, and The Globe and Mail children's book reviewer, looks at the early years of this renaissance in Canadian children's books.
Join us for the 18th Annual Albert and Clara Lahmer Memorial Lecture, presented by the Osborne Collection of Early Children's Books.
