We wish to use this panel to share experiences, offer tips, and speak more broadly about how computer-assisted translation (CAT) has shaped and is shaping the process of literary translation.

Jonathan R. Hiller is Associate Professor of Italian at Adelphi University, and translates works of Italian literature from the period following Italian unification to the First World War.
David Warriner is a professional French-to-English literary translator who works with publishers around the world. He lends his voice to emerging and established Francophone authors to help them reach the most discerning English-speaking readers.
Shelley Fairweather-Vega is a translator from Russian and Uzbek. She collaborates with authors, academics, and activists around the world and has worked on projects as varied as Russian poetry, Uzbek historical fiction, popular science, romance, and detective stories.
Marian Schwartz is a prize-winning translator of Russian literature. She is the principal translator of the works of Nina Berberova and translated The Last Tsar, by Edvard Radzinsky, as well as classics by Mikhail Bulgakov, Ivan Goncharov, Yuri Olesha, and Mikhail Lermontov.
