Join us as Douglas Wolk discusses All of the Marvels: A Journey to the Ends of the Biggest Story Ever Told. The title refers to the superhero comics published by Marvel since 1961, a work of fiction spanning over 27,000 individual comics, from Alpha Flight to Omega the Unknown. Having undertaken the Herculean feat of reading it all, Wolk makes sense of this ever-expanding story, seeing it as a boisterous, tragicomic, magnificently filigreed epic about power and ethics, set in a world transformed by wonders.

At this special event, Wolk will be in conversation with renowned poet, critic, and fellow comics fan Stephanie Burt, whose new poetry chapbook For All Mutantspresent poems inspired by X-Men and other comics characters to explore love, romance, queer identities, fan cultures, and more.
