DC Community Conversation: Treatment and Recovery
By HIPS Outreach
Join HIPS for a virtual community information and discussion session on treatment and recovery options, including medication-assisted treatment (MAT) -- the gold standard of care for people in recovery from opiate use disorder (OUD).
Medication-assisted treatment options vary widely by substance, from using naltrexone to treat alcohol use disorder to methadone for folks who are dependent on opiates. We'll be discussing such examples and how they operate, including HIPS's Suboxone clinic and other DC-based programs. We'll also be discussing various recovery models, including SMART Recovery, Rational Recovery, and the Sinclair Method, among others.
This event will be held from 6:00-8:00pm to allow time for a Q&A. All are welcome! Register to watch live or to view the recording later.
