The Sound and the Purry is the revolutionary first novel by Dashiell the Bookstore Cat, widely believed to be the first book entirely written by a cat. Composed using a visionary automatic writing technique called "Napping on the Keyboard," The Sound and the Purry is a primitive meow of feline rage.

All proceeds from the sale of The Sound and the Purry will be split between the NAACP Legal Defense Fund, and the Lawrence Humane Society.
