Dr. Bonnie Whiting, Chair of Percussion Studies and Assistant Professor of Music, will present a talk on music-making in student and professional ensembles during 2020-21, focusing on the opportunities and challenges presented by streaming platforms, socially-distanced live performances, and outdoor events. With her expansive and inventive approach to the creation of sound and collaboration, Whiting will give a virtual tour of experimental music practices presented by UW students and other musicians.
