Trail of Bits cryptography analysts Filipe Casal and Fredrik Dahlgren will lead a session on how to get started with CodeQL, as part of the second chapter in the Trail of Bits Testing Handbook. CodeQL is a powerful static analysis engine that scans a codebase for specific patterns, but starting out with CodeQL can be challenging due to the steep learning curve. Our team will guide you through the process of getting started with CodeQL and describe how we use CodeQL at Trail of Bits. The session will conclude with integrating CodeQL into Continuous Integration (CI) systems and an open Q&A session for real-time assistance from our experts. Future sessions in the Testing Handbook series will cover topics such as Fuzzing and Burp Suite.
