2025 KPMG Children's Book Ireland Awards

The KPMG Children’s Books Ireland Awards celebrate Irish writing and illustration for children and young people. The most prestigious awards for children’s books in Ireland, a total prize fund of €16,000 will be awarded to this year’s winners.
This year’s shortlist are competing for the KPMG Children’s Books Ireland Book of the Year and five other awards, including honours for fiction and illustration. The Junior Juries’ Award is decided by young readers from across the country. Young readers ‘shadow’ the adult judges of the book awards panel in reading, discussing and assessing the shortlisted books each year.
The KPMG Children’s Books Ireland Awards Junior Juries’ Programme is a unique activity for schools, libraries and book clubs, designed to encourage children and young people to read widely, and to engage with reading in an exciting way. The winners will be announced by book-loving broadcaster Rick O’Shea and be broadcast live!
