David L. Ulin is the author and editors of several books, including "The Lost Art of Reading" (Sasquatch), and most recently the Library of America's volumes on Joan Didion. The second volume, "Didion: The 1980s and '90s," will be published this spring.

Mary Otis is the award-winning author of the story collection "Yes, Yes, Cherries" (Tin House Books). She is a fiction professor in the UCR Palm Desert Low Residency MFA Program.

Dana Johnson is the author of the story collection "In the Not Quite Dark," "Break Any Woman Down," winner of the Flannery O’Connor Award for Short Fiction," and the novel "Elsewhere, California." She is a Professor of English at the University of Southern California.

Steve Ryfle is the co-author of "Ishiro Honda: A Life in Film, from Godzilla to Kurosawa" (Wesleyan University Press), and author of "Godzilla vs. the World: The Politics of Japan's Disaster Monster," forthcoming from University of Texas Press.

Joe Donnelly is an award-winning journalist, writer, and editor-in-chief of Red Canary Magazine. He is  the author of "L.A. Man: Profiles from a Big City and a Small World" (Rarebird Books) and is Visiting Assistant Professor of English and Journalism at Whittier College.
