Brandon Hobson's novel, The Removed, is recently out from Ecco/Harpercollins. His novel, Where the Dead Sit Talking was a finalist for the National Book Award and winner of the Reading the West Award. His fiction will appear or has appeared in The Best American Short Stories 2021, The Pushcart Prize, McSweeney's, Conjunctions, NOON, and elsewhere. He teaches creative writing at New Mexico State University and at the Institute of American Indian Arts. He is an enrolled citizen of the Cherokee Nation of Oklahoma.
Gabriela Garcia is the author of Of Women and Salt, a New York Times bestseller and Editors’ Choice. She is the recipient of a Rona Jaffe Foundation Writer's Award and a Steinbeck Fellowship from San Jose State University. Her fiction and poetry have appeared in Best American Poetry, Tin House, Zyzzyva, Iowa Review, and elsewhere. She received an MFA in fiction from Purdue and lives in the Bay Area.
