đ°Youâll also be made a very special offer to access Carousel Learning - the online quizzing tool Adam designed to help students remember more - at a special discount. Don't miss out.**
If youâve ever led or worked in a Science department, youâll know how hard it can be: staffing, resourcing, routines, training, teaching and learning etc.
The level of planning, in terms of both content and resources, can add an additional layer of pressure no one needs.
Leaving this completely up to individual teachers creates work and can lead to inconsistency across the team.
One way of relieving this pressure is by writing and using booklets.
But:
- How do you write them? What should they and should they not include?
- Who writes them? How do you QA them?
- How do you use them in lessons?
- How do you ensure teachers use them consistently?
- To what extent do they drive assessment?
- How can they be used to reduce workload and increase consistency?
- What are the pitfalls you need to avoid?
In this live demonstration of a KS3 booklet, join us to learn how Adam Boxer, Head of Science at The Totteridge Academy, uses booklets to:
- Reduce workload
- Increase consistency between teachers
- Gather really powerful data about the curricula diet students get across the department
- Support teachers to improve their teaching
Meet the presenter:
Adam is the Head of Science at The Totteridge Academy, Co-founder Carousel Learning and CogSciSci and Author of Teaching Secondary Science: A Complete Guide and Cracking Key Concepts in Secondary Science.

Who is this master class for:
- Senior leaders who want to learn about how to reduce workload pressures on teachers, not just in Science, and generate more consistency across curriculum planning and delivery
