Topic: Behind The Lone Caner: Thoughts from a Reviewer of Rum
Host: Indy Anand - RumCask
Guest: Lance Surujbally, TheLoneCaner.com
What You'll Learn: Lance Surujbally, the rum reviewer who runs the Lone Caner website, has been blogging about rum since 2010 and takes the entire subject as his field of interest: in a style uniquely his own, he writes rum reviews, company backgrounders, about old out-of-production rums, on rum history, and pens opinions and technical aspects, and whatever else he feels like writing about. In this program, he goes into depth about how one gets started, the difficulties and issues surrounding the ongoing blogging experience, what it takes to continue in the long term...and whatever else comes up in the discussion.
About Indy Anand:
Having worked for over 10 years in the City, Indy has gained a wealth of experience in building relationships with professional clients. His love for rum led him into the London RumFest almost 10 years ago but through his WSET 2 spirits qualification, he has learnt to appreciate all spirits for their diversity and complexity.
Indy has travelled the world to judge a variety of cocktail competitions, and most recently, judge at the World Drink Awards in 2018. He has also visited various distilleries globally including Foursquare, La Rouget De L’Isle and Mount Gay. With a keen eye and sophisticated palate, Indy is always on the hunt for new products to help bring to the growing UK market.
