Journey to Becoming an Illustrator (and more!)
By TPL Teens
Do you like telling a story through visuals? I would like to share my journey of how I became an illustrator, and how I discovered new opportunities to tell stories in different art forms. This workshop will also include a live demo to give you some tips and tricks when creating art!
Hosted by Soyeon Kim (김소연), a Korean-born Canadian artist living in Pickering, Ontario. Her main medium is three-dimensional dioramas, where she creates a world by carefully arranging the painted and texturized paper cutouts. She is also the illustrator of the picture books: You Are Stardust, Wild Ideas, Is This Panama?, Sukaq and the Raven, You Are Never Alone, A Last Goodbye, and Once Upon an Hour.
