Crowdfunding Your Book or Comic on Kickstarter
By BackerKit
Kickstarter’s Publishing category is home to some truly amazing books and comics. And if you’re a new creator, now is the best time to start planning your crowdfunding project as there are a lot of success stories to draw inspiration from. Kickstarter compiled a fantastic list of 117 projects that can show you what’s possible. And currently, there is a wide variety of live projects to check out including Vanishing Asia, 42: The Wildly Improbable Ideas of Douglas Adams, and Unburying My Father just to name a few.
Join Jason Furie from BackerKit alongside Oriana Leckert from Kickstarter for an in-depth discussion about how you can set yourself up for success when crowdfunding your book or comic. Main presentation will be followed by a live Q&A.
Expect to Learn:
- How to build your audience and focus on your campaign story
- Expert campaign page strategies including effective rewards
- How to assess your reach and determine your campaign goals
- Differences between book projects and comic projects
- Impacts of the pandemic on literary crowdfunding
